At the end of this course,
the trainee will be able to:
- Understand basic system database tables including
Overhead groups and system parameters
- Understand steps of call processing.
- Describe routing tables: ROUT, PDT, TGRP, and UGRP
- Explain and create Network Numbering Exchange (NNX),
Foreign NPA (FRT), Exchange Reclassification (XRT),
Local Call Routing (LCR), Local Toll Routing (LTR),
and Special Numbering Plan (SNP)
- Be familiar with Private Networking (NNP) theory
of operation and database definition.
- Understand routing via Satellite Directory Groups
and directory numbers

| Course Contents |
The Pointspan System Database course
provides a student with a basic understanding of the
system database in an installed configuration.
- Students will become familiar with all tables that
constitute the system database. These tables include
SPAR, GRPS, UGRP, NNP, SDGP, ROUT, PDT, and CLOS
- Students will learn to analyze routing systems,
both between PBX and via the PSTN
- Students will learn to troubleshoot routing related
problems
