| Objectives |
At the end of this course,
the trainee will be able to:
- Identify and understand DPN architecture and the
role of the DPN components
- Identify voice, signaling, and FTP paths to and
from the Pointspan
- Identify DPN cabinet, shelf, slot, and line
- Build circuit and trunk cards on the DPN
- Build analog, digital, IP, and IP SIP sets in database
- Perform backup and restore
- Create emergency trunks to the Public Switched Telephone

- Description of M7425 use for domain, domain range,

- Use of M7425 to perform audit of telephony hierarchy,
telephony parameters, and physical and logical resources
- Use of database including; GRPS, DIRN, CARD, and
FONE commands with the DPN
- Discussion of auth codes with a DPN
- Discussion of emergency trunks
- Discussion of DPN call processing
- Discussion of maintenance topics
- Use of alarms

- Discussion of DSAPI
- Discussion of switchovers, shut-downs and reboots
