At the end of this course, the trainee will be able to:
  • Configure and maintain the Aastra MX-ONE™
  • Recognize components and subsystems down to the printed circuit board/module level
  • Define the possible system configurations and cabling requirements
  • Describe the functions performed by components and subassemblies
  • Perform installation/maintenance exercises using the administrative and maintenance consoles
  • Perform Moves, Adds and Changes to the system database
  • Perform ordinary system operations such as backups, switchovers, power up/down procedures, and processor initialization
  • Describe basic T1 and ISDN theory
  • Use diagnostic procedures
  • Interpret system alarms

Using a balanced mix of theory and practical exercises, MX-ONE™ course covers the following areas:
  • Manual installation of Telephony System hardware and software.
  • Introduction and use of Manager Provisioning and Manager Telephony System.
  • Licensing.
  • Configuration of legacy and IP-based (H.323 and SIP) extensions and routes.
  • Configurations of operator media device, call information logging, and recorded voice announcements.
  • Maintenance functions: starts, restarts, blocking, retrieving status information, add/remove boards, IP address management.
  • Handling alarms and fault resolution.
  • Management of system backup and reloads.
  • Upgrade of board and telephony software.
  • Execution of call and signal tracing.
  • Addition of one or more LIMs.
  • System redundancy and security.
