| Objectives |
This course is designed to teach system technicians and administrators the skills needed to:
- Describe basic SIP terminology and use
- Describe common SIP messages and their use
- Understand the Aastra SIP telephone boot-up process
- Understand how Aastra SIP telephones are configured
- Understand the tools and techniques used to view SIP call processing in an MX-ONE TSE and MX-ONE Compact environment
- Trace common SIP call scenarios in an MX-ONE/MX-ONE Compact system
- Troubleshoot various common issues relating to SIP signaling

| Course Contents |
|
This course is designed to teach basic Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) theory. In addition, SIP call processing is demonstrated on live
MX-ONE/MX-ONE Compact systems. The ©Wireshark application is taught (in respect to SIP call processing) as well as other available SIP troubleshooting tools.
Students will trace and produce SIP ladder diagrams for simple call processing examples and will troubleshoot common SIP signaling issues.
