SIP Phones

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is widely recognized as the standard of choice for IP Telephony. With established industry standards, manufacturer's products will be interoperable and telephony customers will have a wide range of choices. Aastra is dedicated to developing products based on industry standards so that our customers fully realize the benefits of moving to IP.

Users are free to use any SIP compliant phone on the market. However, Aastra’s 67xi series offers a wide range of features, and provide superior performance at an affordable price.

Wireless DECT

By using the SIP standard, Clearspan is able to interface with virtually any SIP based device, wired or wireless, including Wi-Fi and DECT. Aastra offers a state of the art wireless voice solution based on the DECT protocols which use dedicated bandwidth for interference free communication.

Employing the latest in DECT technology, the Aastra SIP-DECT Solution offers superior levels of interference-free performance, security and reliability in a wireless SIP telephone system. This scalable, enterprise grade, mobility solution allows users to take the features and voice quality of their desk telephone with them throughout their office environment or related branch offices serviced by the same enterprise network. DECT technology virtually eliminates issues of dropped calls, interference, security and range by employing IP DECT access points that seamlessly “handoff” calls and enable roaming.

Using Clearspan’s unique Self-Paced Migration users can gain immediate productivity without immediate replacement. And Clearspan’s desktop integration tools make it easy to access Clearspan’s advanced features with little or no training. When the time comes to replace the legacy system, simply add Aastra SIP phones and user licenses. The cost savings from eliminating the legacy technology, power consumption, and maintenance can be enormous.

Analog Phones

Analog phones are still the device of choice for some environments and Clearspan can fully support them. Using analog station gateways your existing phones will continue to function as always.

FAX machines are also supported in the Clearspan network with full end-to-end transmission capabilities.

Web Applications

Clearspan is a powerful tool for enterprises that want to integrate communications functions into their web sites and business processes. Now any enterprise application can be a device for delivering communications services. Calling, directory, control and administration functions can be easily combined with traditional applications or innovative new web sites to provide unique and valuable services to clients, employees, partners and other constituents.

External Phones

In the course of a day mobile users encounter a wide variety of telephony devices. How do people know where to reach them? With Clearspan, users call people not numbers. Clearspan can make any phone become their “office” phone. Simply tell Clearspan the number and calls are automatically routed to that phone. Calls can also be routed to multiple numbers either simultaneously or in series.

On the outbound side users can choose whether to place calls using the device or by using Clearspan Anywhere to route the call as if it they were sitting in their office.

Cell phones/ PDA

Clearspan Anywhere allows enterprises to offer a Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution where subscribers can use their cellular phones as a Clearspan station. Subscribers can seamlessly move their calls from a fixed phone to a cell phone, or vice versa.

  • Start a call on a cell phone, and pull it to a desk phone (or vice versa)
  • Caller dials one number and employee’s cell and landline phones ring simultaneously.
  • Users can make calls from their cell phone and have it appear to be coming from their desk phone.

All Clearspan voicemail messages are directed to the Clearspan voicemail box.
